Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics – UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital
At UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital, we offer cutting-edge non-invasive cardiac diagnostic services, powered by innovative technologies and highly qualified professionals. The combination of advanced technology, such as the SOMATOM Force CT scanner, and clinical expertise enables us to provide patients with accurate and rapid diagnoses.
Our Most Innovative Tests
CT Coronography
A rapid and accurate test to:
- Detect or rule out changes in the vessel walls, such as atherosclerotic plaques and stenoses.
- Study coronary abnormalities, stents, and bypasses.
- Visualize in detail the heart's vessels (coronaries).
Thanks to the SOMATOM Force CT scanner – Siemens Healthineers, the test can be performed with a very low radiation dose and in a very short time, ensuring maximum comfort even for patients with high or unstable heart rates, as well as young children and newborns.
This technology also allows to:
- Quantify the presence of calcium in the coronary arteries and calculate their biological age.
- Assess the risk of acute cardiac events.
- Perform a complete vascular analysis in less than 4 minutes.
Color Doppler Echocardiography
Allows to study the heart function and blood flow, providing detailed images and key information for diagnosis.
Stress Ergometry and Electrocardiogram on exertion
A test that assesses the heart's behavior under stress, useful for detecting ischemia and arrhythmias.
24-Hour Arterial Blood Pressure Monitoring
Continuous measurement to monitor pressure fluctuations and diagnose potential hypertension.
Other available services
- Pacemaker and automatic defibrillator check-up.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG).
- Holter Dynamic Electrocardiogram: monitors the heart's electrical activity for 24 hours.
- Pharmacological Echo-Stress: simulates physical exertion to study cardiac performance.
- Transesophageal echocardiogram (with multiplane probe or bubble test): provides detailed cardiac images from inside the esophagus.
