Shoulder Center: A Personalized Multidisciplinary Pathway
At our Shoulder Center, the patient is followed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists at all stages of his or her care pathway, from diagnosis to surgery and assisted rehabilitation, including at home.
The course of care includes:
- Specialist orthopaedics consult for an initial diagnosis and to identify any diagnostic exams needed.
- Diagnostic imaging: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), radiography (X-ray), ultrasound, echodoppler, CT scanner SOMATOM Force – Siemens Healthineers.
- Conservative or surgical treatments. If the indicated treatment is surgical, the specialist will evaluate the type of surgery to be performed, with the support of highly advanced technologies.
- Physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Thanks to the active collaboration between orthopaedists, physiatrists and physiotherapists working at our Shoulder Center, the patient will be able to recover function quickly, through rehabilitation paths and specific and personalized manual treatments.
Pathologies Treated
- Arthrosis and arthritis of the shoulder.
- Bursitis of the shoulder (sub acromion-deltoid, subscapularis).
- Calcification and calcific injury of the shoulder.
- Cervical or SLAP (or athlete's shoulder) injury.
- Degenerative and traumatic rotator cuff disorders (subacromial conflict syndrome, tendon rupture, calcific tendinopathy).
- Dislocation of the shoulder.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of the Shoulder
Individual-assisted physiotherapy treatments can be performed at our Shoulder Center, thanks to the close cooperation between orthopaedics specialists and physiotherapists. The main goals of the treatments are:

- Recovery of proprioception.
- Recovery of sports, work, daily gestures.
- Recovery of strength of movement.
- Reduction of pain.
In addition, our clinic has a dedicated pool for hydrokinesitherapy, or water rehabilitation, for recovery of shoulder joint mobility and proper posture control.
