The UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Center uses state-of-the-art equipment to perform a range of investigations:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1.5 Tesla)
- CT scanner SOMATOM Force – Siemens Healthineers, which reduces radiation by up to 80%
- State-of-the art ultrasound scans
- 3D mammography
- Bone density scans (DEXA scan)
- Computerized Bone Mineralometry (MOC)
- Traditional radiology
- Interventional radiology
The department is well-equipped to perform a wide range of X-ray examinations including interventional procedures (biopsies, drainage, etc.), which can also be carried out on an emergency basis. It also offers a complete Senology Unit.
The team at the UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Center includes general radiologists, neuroradiologists, radiologists with extensive experience in vascular, bone, and joint and breast diagnostics, and highly-professional technicians. Each scan is reviewed by more than one radiologist alongside the field specialist.
