His main areas of interest are the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, pneumonia, pleuritis, and sleep apnea. In 1980, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, where he specialized in Pneumology in 1994. He held prestigious positions as Professor of Respiratory Pathophysiology (from 1989 to 1998) at the Tor Vergata University of Rome, and run a Master in Pneumology at the Italian “Fatebenefratelli” Foundation. He was Professor of Pulmonology and Thoracic Endoscopy (from 2001 to 2013) at the Institute of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. He was Chief of Pneumology and Head of General Medicine at the accredited Nursing Home San Giuseppe. He held the position of specialized physician in Pneumology and head of the Pneumology service at the American Hospital in Rome. He was the Scientific Director of Intramedica, an Advanced Clinical Center in Ozone Therapy. He is currently Head of the Pneumology Service at the Casa di Cura Paideia in Rome and Scientific Director at the CD Servizi Medici, for which he is constantly engaged in scientific dissemination activities.
